The Beginning....

Exciting news....We're getting married!

We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives. We can't wait to share our special day with you.

We started this blog to help keep you up to date on our journey as an engaged couple. Please check back regularly for updates.

Here are a few details:
We will be married on Sunday, September 5, 2010
Trophy Lake Golf Course, Port Orchard Washington

Brett and Callie’s story:
Believe it or not our story actually began at Idlewild Elementary school in Lakewood, Washington circa 1988 where Brett’s future sister-in-law Emily “Clark” Nelsen and Callie were chasing boys around the jungle gym. I’m sure even then they talked about growing up and meeting their “Prince Charming's”. Who knew they would actually be brothers! The friendship that developed in Lakewood all those years ago set the stage for our first date…
It was a beautiful summer evening at Anthony’s restaurant in Kirkland, Washington. Lake Washington was the perfect backdrop for great food and hours of engaging conversation. After date two and hours of Callie tossing strike after strike on Wii bowling, “we” both knew it was the start of something special. Here are some pictures that detail our journey over the last two years...

Engagement photos and update:
Things are coming together. We have been busy finalizing details, including choosing a Bakery, booking a florist, and registering! You can view our Registry by clicking on either one of the Wedding Registery links. Brett has been working on finalizing Hotel accommodations, so hopefully we will have information for everyone soon. Last weekend we ordered our invitaions and took engagment photos in Tacoma. We wanted to share a few of our favorites with you!
