Memorial Day Weekend in Dayton

Brett and I went to Dayton for Memorial Day Weekend. And I am not talking about Dayton Ohio. Dayton Washington is located 45 minutes Northeast of Walla Walla, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Grandma Spoon still lives in Dayton, in the house where her parents lived. Kay spent a majority of her childhood in Dayton as well. Dayton Days is held over Memorial Day weekend every year. Normally there is a parade and rodeo, but due to a Horse virus the horses were in quarantine. So instead of using horses in the parade, many people were on 4 wheelers or in the back of pick-up trucks. They also had to cancel the rodeo. Brett and Kay were my tour guides and showed me all around the town. We went to a goat cheese factory and went mushroom hunting in the Blue Mountains. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Happy Easter

We spent our first Easter as a married couple making the most of the holiday. We were able to spend time with both families. Church and Brunch were spend with the Miller-Nelsen crew. Finley and Everleigh were the life of the party with their cute accessories, smiles and laughs. The afternoon was spent at the Ledesma household celebrating Easter and Grandma Helen's birthday. Berkley and Lauren showed off their cute Easter dresses and helped Grandma Helen open her gifts.
Easter wouldn't have been complete without a Bunny Cake.

Gotta love the bunny ears!
